HUM: FILLET SHOW Debut Studio Album (1991)

HUM: FILLET SHOW Album cover

Fillet Show is the debut album by Hum released in 1991, through Twelve Inch Records. The album shows a heavier sound influenced by punk rock and heavy metal. However, it was their third album, “You’d Prefer an Astronaut,” that catapulted them to fame, thanks to the single “Stars. Despite their critical acclaim, Hum has often been considered underrated, with a sound ahead of its time that has inspired many bands in the alternative and indie rock scenes. Their influence is evident, yet they remain a gem within the rock music landscape, appreciated by those who discover the depth and complexity of their music. After a long hiatus, they surprised fans with “Inlet” in 2020.
